The new regulation contemplates an increase in the amounts up to 200 euros for students in La Gomera and 500 euros for those who study outside the island.
The Vallehermoso City Council informs of the publication in the Official Gazette of the Province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife of the final approval of the modification of the ordinance regulating municipal aid for study, a step prior to the opening of the application submission period, scheduled for the next few days.
This modification, previously announced by the City Council, incorporates an increase in the amounts intended to financially support families in the municipality. In this way, aid for students studying on La Gomera increases from 100 to 200 euros, while those for those studying outside the island increase from 300 to 500 euros.
The update of the ordinance also contemplates changes in the economic access criteria, with the aim of expanding the possibilities that more families can benefit from these municipal benefits.
The mayor of Vallehermoso, Emiliano Coello, highlights that this modification represents progress in the City Council's commitment to education and support for families, especially in a municipality where many students must travel outside the island to continue their training.
In this sense, it points out that the increase in the amounts seeks to help alleviate the expenses derived from studies and facilitate the young people of the municipality to continue their training with equal opportunities.
Next opening of the application period
After the publication of the final approval of the ordinance in the Official Gazette of the Province, the Vallehermoso City Council will proceed in the coming days to open the deadline for submitting applications for municipal aid for the study.
Interested families can now consult the requirements and access conditions established in the ordinance, in order to know the characteristics of this aid and prepare their application in advance.
The Consistory will inform through its official channels of the publication of the call, in which the dates and procedure for submitting applications will be specified.
With this measure, the Vallehermoso City Council continues to reinforce its commitment to education and equal opportunities, helping to reduce the economic effort that the training of their sons and daughters entails for families.
