The call, published this Friday in the Official Gazette of the Province, establishes a period of 20 calendar days to submit applications, with grants of 200 euros for students in La Gomera and 500 euros for those studying outside the island
The City Council of Vallehermoso informs of the opening of the deadline for submitting applications for municipal aid for the study corresponding to the academic year 2026-2027, whose call was published this Friday, November 6, in the Official Gazette of the Province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
Interested parties will have 20 calendar days, counted from the day following its publication, so the submission period will begin on Saturday, November 7 and end on Thursday, November 26, 2026, inclusive.
The call, approved by Mayor's Decree number 809/2026, of November 3, incorporates the improvements recently approved in the regulatory ordinance, with an increase in the amounts and an update of the economic access criteria to facilitate that more families in the municipality can benefit from these benefits.
In this way, students who study in La Gomera will be able to access aid of 200 euros, compared to the previous 100 euros, while those who study outside the island will be able to receive 500 euros, instead of the 300 euros established so far.
The mayor of Vallehermoso, Emiliano Coello, highlights that the opening of this call makes it possible to materialize the commitment of the government group to support education and families, especially those who must face additional expenses so that their sons and daughters can continue their training outside of La Gomera.
He also points out that the City Council plans to expand the funding for these grants if necessary to meet all accepted applications that meet the established requirements, thus reaffirming the municipal commitment to equal educational opportunities.
Submission of applications: from 7 to 26 November
Applications may be submitted electronically, through the electronic headquarters of the City Council of Vallehermoso, during the period established in the call.
Likewise, interested persons may carry out the procedure in person at the General Registry of the City Council, taking into account the opening hours of the public, from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
In this regard, the Consistory recalls that, although the deadline begins on Saturday, November 7, the face-to-face presentation will be subject to the opening days and times of the municipal offices, while the electronic office allows procedures to be carried out 24 hours a day.
Interested families and students can consult the requirements, access conditions and necessary documentation in the regulatory ordinance and in the official call, available through municipal channels.
The City Council encourages people who meet the requirements to submit their applications within the established deadline, remembering that the last day to do so will be Thursday, November 26.
With this call, Vallehermoso continues to strengthen its policies to support education, helping to alleviate the economic effort that the academic training of their sons and daughters entails for families.
