The events will take place the last weekend of August
Tamargada is preparing to host the last weekend of August the festivities in honor of the Virgen de la Caridad del Cobre, which will take place on August 29, 30 and 31. In this way, on Friday, August 29, the traditional decorating of the square and the places where the procession will pass will take place, a task that will be carried out by the neighbors and friends of Tamargada starting at 6:00 p.m.
On Saturday, August 30, the program will start with a children's party with mats and games starting at 12:00 p.m. Next, at 1:30 p.m., the classic car exhibition will take place in the square. In the afternoon, starting at 7:00 p.m., the musical atmosphere will arrive with the performance of Grupo Acorde. The day will culminate with a great festival entertained by the Wamampy and Grupo Saoco orchestras, which will begin at 10:00 p.m.
On Sunday, August 31, a day dedicated to tradition and devotion, the holy mass will be celebrated in honor of Our Lady of Charity of Cobre starting at 5:00 p.m., officiated by parish priest Kevin Barroso. Next, the procession will take place accompanied by chácaras and drums, traveling through the usual places. To close the festivities, a grand final festival will be held starting at 7:00 p.m., with the participation of the Amanecer de La Gomera and Grupo Tentación orchestras.
The events, organized by the Tamargada 2025 Festival Commission, have the collaboration of the Vallehermoso City Council, the Island Council of La Gomera and the residents of the neighborhood, who each year contribute to the beautification of the square and the organization of these celebrations.
