San Sebastián continues with its Carnival program with variations in some events

The capital of Gomera celebrates this Tuesday the children's costume contest and the performance of the adult Carnival groups

San Sebastián de La Gomera resumed its Carnival program this past Monday with the celebration of one of the most important events: the “Talc and Indigo Powder Day.” An event that brought together hundreds of residents to the rhythm of groups and orchestras that lasted until the early hours of the morning.

Regarding this Tuesday, February 25, the events will start at 5:00 p.m. with the children's costume contest. Likewise, at 7:30 p.m., time for the performance of the adult Carnival groups in an event that will take place in the Plaza de Las Américas.

Already on Friday the 28th, it is time for another of the “classics” of the Carnival, the “Burial of the Sardine”, which will depart from Calle El Tanquito starting at 8:30 p.m. In this sense, the City Council reports that the program will vary on that day due to the postponement of the “Trans Queen” festival to Sunday due to the coincidence with the Final of the Las Palmas Carnival Drag Gala, moved on the calendar for weather reasons and in which five artists who will perform in La Gomera participate. In its place, a dance will take place by the Gomera and Atlantis orchestras.

On “Piñata” Saturday, the program will continue without changes, starting at 11:30 a.m. with the children's Carnival party. An event that will mark the beginning of a long day that will feature a parade by the “Vid Band” and the Carnival groups, followed by the performance of DJ José Cuellar, as well as Ritmo Gomero and Amanecer Latino.

Likewise, starting at 9:30 p.m., DKB and Edwin Rivera will take to the Plaza de Las Américas stage, closing the day with the Tropin, Amanecer Latino and Gomera orchestras.

Finally, Sunday will begin with the children's piñata-making workshop, in the Plaza de Las Américas, at 10:30 a.m. It will continue, at 12:00 p.m., with the traditional costume race, ideal for the enjoyment of the whole family, which will be held in the Torre del Conde Park.

Starting at 5:00 p.m., “Piñata” party for the little ones, in the Plaza de Las Américas. Same stage where the third edition of the “Trans Queen” Festival in San Sebastián de La Gomera will take place starting at 7:30 p.m.

In this sense, the festival will feature performances by Drag Vulcano, Drag Hefesto, Drag Equinox, Drag Quiron, Drag Noa, Drag Fresh and the singer Daniel Tejera, as well as Yanely Hernández, presenter of the event as in previous years.
