Méndez recalls that the arrival of Danish tourists to La Gomera increased by
9% last year
The Cabildo of La Gomera, through the Department of Tourism, will attend this Thursday
two of the most important tourist events in Europe: the Munich Free Fair and the Fair for
Alle de Denmark. Both represent a large part of the tourism sector of these
markets that generate great interest for the island, since according to the head of Tourism,
María Isabel Méndez, “there are more than 100,000 people who will know our destiny
in these two appointments.”
The Munich Free opens its doors, consolidating itself as the largest travel and entertainment fair.
Bavarian leisure. The German market continues to be the main issuer for the island, “so
that promotional efforts are even greater in specialized media, networks
social networks and travel agents.” On this occasion, La Gomera joins the programming that

Danish tourism increases by 9%
The Ferie for Alle in Denmark is consolidated as the most relevant event for
travel professionals of this country, whose programming begins this Friday, 21
of February. The edition expects to exceed 60,000 visitors and 1,100 exhibitors, in a
positive context for La Gomera, which closed 2019 with a 9% increase in the arrival of
Danish tourists.
“It is a booming market that we will consolidate with additional promotional measures,”
explained Méndez, who alluded to the high spending capacity they have and their positive
impact on the island economy. Along these lines, he argued for reinforcement in actions
promotional in the Scandinavian countries “because they are markets with a tourist profile
very attractive for La Gomera.”
