Jesús Ramos (ASG) asks not to play politics with the suffering of the citizens of Venezuela

The deputy spokesperson of the Gomera Socialist Group Parliamentary Group offers its collaboration to the groups of returnees residing in the Islands
The deputy spokesperson for the Gomera Socialist Group (ASG) Parliamentary Group, Jesús Ramos, stressed this Thursday, the 13th, that politics should not be played with the suffering of the Venezuelan people. "From this formation we are clear that the role of the Canary Islands and that of the State must be focused on influencing to be able to guarantee democratic, free and peaceful elections in Venezuela, without imposing criteria or ideologies on what the people want to choose," he noted.
The ASG deputy also offered his collaboration to the representatives of the different groups of Venezuelan citizens who reside in the Islands to advance in the search for solutions to the problems they face. "Since the last legislature we have been working with the representatives of the different associations to mediate and collaborate to the extent we can and, in this sense, we have made progress in aspects such as aid to returned Canary Islands pensioners or the processing for the shipment of medicines to Venezuela, among other issues," he indicated.
“We cannot engage in politics with issues as sensitive as this, in which the suffering of the citizens of Venezuela comes into play, which is why at ASG we are committed to finding formulas that are as effective as possible in solving their needs,” he remarked.
Likewise, Ramos stated that "whenever the issue of Venezuela has been discussed in Parliament, from ASG we have sent the same message, without fissures or reconsiderations, this country has to get out of this political crisis and to do so, Venezuelans must dialogue and be the ones who obtain the political solutions and everything happens through elections with guarantees."

Finally, the Gomero deputy added that "we must, to the extent possible, mediate between the sides so that they reflect, as well as generate a climate free of tension, in which humanitarian aid flows to those who have been caught between the political conflict that is being experienced in the country."
