The Plenary Hall of the Cabildo of La Gomera hosts, this Thursday, April 23, coinciding with the anniversary of Book Day, the presentation of the book 'La magua de Guada', by the author Natalia Guillén Chinea.
The book explores the deep sadness that lives in the body through Guadalupe Bencomo Correa, a chambermaid about to retire who embodies the extraordinary story of ordinary women. The narrative is constructed as an act of resistance and an intergenerational dialogue that connects Tenerife and La Gomera with the shores of Africa and Europe.
This literary meeting will be accompanied by the CEMAJ Teaching Duo, from the Arena and Jable Musical Association, who will put the musical finishing touch to this meeting with island literature.
