The insular Institution advances the implementation of childhood and
prevention of drug addiction that will be carried out with own funds
Beatriz Santos advances the celebration of the Insular Meeting of the Mayor within the
programming of the Lustral Festivals of Vallehermoso
The Cabildo of La Gomera and the island's town councils held, this week, a
joint work session with those responsible for the social services of each of
municipalities to plan social welfare measures planned for
this year, as well as the implementation of prevention projects
drug dependence, along with child and family care.
In relation to the Information, Prevention and Guidance Service regarding
Drug Addiction, he announced that it is proposed as an instrument of cooperation with
schools, families and institutions, in such a way that initiatives are programmed
according to the characteristics of each municipality with talks, health tables and actions
preventive.
Santos announced that the Cabildo is already working on the renewal of the childhood program and
family, in such a way that it is articulated for the improvement of relationships between children and
parents, especially in the ruptures of the nuclei of coexistence or spaces of
unrest. “This is a tool that facilitates conciliation and quality of life, in
nuclei with coexistence problems and that demand support such as those provided for in this
program,” he noted.
Care for the elderly
The Cabildo of La Gomera also advanced the celebration, in the month of July, of the Meeting
Insular del Mayor, which this year will be within the program of the Lustral Festivals of
Vallehermoso. In this sense, he advanced the call for an Insular Council of the Mayor
for the month of March, which will serve as a space to present new actions aimed at
the oldest on the island.
“The Council will have an extraordinary character and we will analyze the projects that are carried out
carried out to improve social and health care, as well as the organization of the
mobility for seniors, contemplated in this year's island budgets",
