Resident artisans, companies, associations and groups with registered and tax domicile on the island may submit their application from this Thursday until Wednesday, June 10

This call includes an investment of 55 thousand euros, and is endowed with three lines of subsidy to cooperate with the costs derived from the artisanal activity.
Starting this Monday, the Cabildo of La Gomera opens the deadline for submitting applications for aid to the island's craft sector. This was reported by the island president, Casimiro Curbelo, who explained that this call, endowed with an investment of 55 thousand euros, will benefit resident artisans, companies, associations and groups with registered and tax domicile on the island.
“This is a measure of cooperation with the craft sector whose bases have been improved this year, expanding the eligible amounts up to 5,000 euros, incorporating new lines of support, and simplifying the application and justification procedure,” he added.
Furthermore, for this call we have opted to simplify the administrative procedure, reducing the required documentation, standardizing forms and facilitating telematic access through the electronic headquarters of the insular Corporation. Likewise, a clearer and more objective evaluation system has been incorporated, which prioritizes, among other aspects, participation in fairs, membership in associations, seniority in the profession and the development of specialties at risk of disappearance.
In this way, the insular Minister of Crafts, Cristina Ventura, pointed out that this call responds to the objective of optimizing the support mechanisms for the sector, guaranteeing more efficient management of public resources and ensuring that aid is allocated to those who play an essential role in the preservation of crafts in La Gomera.
Three lines of subsidy
Line 1 is aimed at artisans and craft companies on the island, and allows subsidizing the acquisition of machinery, tools, incorporation of new information and communication technologies into marketing systems, costs of inclusion in online sales platforms, and participation in professional fairs, in addition to training, Social Security contribution fees, promotional material, consulting expenses, and premises leases, among others.
Line 2 is aimed at expenses derived from the constitution of economic interest groups in the sector, while line 3 includes aid to artisan associations that participate in markets, technical meetings, congresses or professional fairs.
In all cases, the aid will cover up to 75% of eligible expenses. The maximum amount will be 3,000 euros, with the exception of artisans registered as self-employed, who may qualify for an amount of up to 5,000 euros.
Submission of applications
Applications may be submitted electronically through the Electronic Headquarters of the Island Council of La Gomera, or in person at the authorized registries and offices in accordance with current regulations.
The application period will remain open from May 14 to June 10, 2026, both inclusive.
Both the annexes and the documentation to be presented can be checked on the Cabildo's electronic headquarters, in the highlighted procedures section. In addition, the annexes are also available in the Hon. Island Council of La Gomera, in the Industry area.
