The City Council calls on all those businessmen interested in participating with the capacity to provide or contract the home delivery service.
The City Council of San Sebastián de La Gomera announced this Monday the imminent launch of an online sales platform that will bring together the business community of the municipality. An idea that arises from the need to alleviate, as far as possible, the current situation of closure or decrease in sales due to the current alarm decree.
Thus, the mayor of San Sebastián, Adasat Reyes, explains that in addition to measures such as tax deferral or aid to the sector "on which we are already working, we believe it is necessary to extend the glove to companies so that they can provide or contract the home delivery service through a third party and thus also normalize the current situation as much as possible, allowing income to flow again, also encouraging purchases in the municipality."
The objective is to create a large local virtual market where those companies in the municipality that want to provide home delivery services, shops, restaurants, market stalls or even self-employed workers or entrepreneurs in the primary sector who want to make their products available to residents are represented. With a “click” you can select a product, a store, a menu or a purchase and establish a payment method and shipping address.
For this reason, he called on all citizens so that now, more than ever, we buy in the municipality and support our neighbors and friends at the time when they need us most."
For his part, the Councilor for Commerce, Libertad Ramos, pointed out that "we are finalizing the details of this platform so that it is as intuitive as possible and is available at the end of this week, but we are sure that it will be an opportunity for both the businesses, which we seek to support, and for the neighbors, who will also be able to continue with isolation and at the same time make their purchases or orders from their homes."
Finally, he reported that to participate in the initiative, the City Council has made an online form available to interested parties. https://forms.gle/
