The citizen centers of La Laguna will remain open in July with a wide range of activities for all audiences

Fran Hernández encourages citizens to participate since “citizen centers help build community, take care of ourselves and live together better”

The City Council of La Laguna, through the Citizen Participation area, reminds that the citizen centers of the municipality will continue to operate during the month of July, with a diverse program adapted to all ages. Summer workshops, sports activities, training actions, psychological care services, culture and leisure turn these spaces into true neighborhood gathering and support centers.

The Councilor for Citizen Participation, Fran Hernández, wanted to highlight the role of citizen centers as spaces of proximity, "during the summer we continue to offer useful, accessible and participatory proposals for all people. I encourage neighbors to come, join the activities, enjoy and be an active part of their citizen center."

The programming for the month of July includes children's camps, such as those held at the San Jerónimo, San Matías II or Pérez Soto centers; sports activities such as pilates, functional training, tai chi or zumba; craft, theater, painting or singing workshops; and proposals for personal and social development such as the 'From A to Z' project for support in procedures or free psychological care services such as 'Health for All'.

Likewise, opening hours are maintained in most centers, adapted to the summer season, as can be consulted on the municipal website www.aytolalaguna.es.

For Fran Hernández, "citizen centers are places where links are generated, knowledge is shared and the social fabric is strengthened. They help to build a community, to take care of each other, to live together better." In this sense, the councilor has highlighted the commitment of the center councils, collaborating associations and technical staff that make it possible to maintain the activity even in the summer months.

Interested citizens can go to their nearest center, consult the programming displayed on the information boards or access complete information through the municipal website. Many of the activities are free and only require prior registration.
