The Cabildo renews its Electronic Headquarters and implements new digital management systems
· The island Institution allocates 92,965.48 euros to advance digitalization and facilitate online processing for citizens
· These measures are included in the R&D&i line of the Canary Islands Development Fund
This week, the Cabildo of La Gomera has put into operation new digitalization and electronic management tools in order to facilitate citizens' access to the institution and enable the telematic processing of files, public calls or the registration of instances.
In this way, the Institution incorporates digital administration systems that benefit citizens, since it makes available mechanisms for access to information and direct communication, without the need to attend in person. In this sense, the Minister of Good Government, Cristina Ventura, specified that, on the one hand, simplification in management is addressed and, on the other, an accessible and intuitive way is made available to citizens to carry out all types of procedures.
Ventura explained that the Cabildo already had this service, but with the update materialized this week, the procedures that can be carried out through the Electronic Headquarters have been expanded, incorporating the procedures enabled for each area of the Institution.
Furthermore, with this renovation, a computer system for file management has been activated. This service has an impact on the work dynamics and internal processes in this processing, reducing time and gaining efficiency, by limiting duplication of documentation and easy access to the procedure.
“The service simplifies a citizen request or the ordinary processing of a file, allowing the Institution to gain efficiency, which is what citizens ask for in times like the current one,” stated the head of Good Government.
