Eleven participants finish a year of work activity in different areas of the island Institution
The project, which has had an investment of 352,000 euros, is co-financed by the Canarian Employment Service and the European Social Fund Plus
The Cabildo of La Gomera has completed a new edition of the New Employment Opportunities (NOE) program, aimed at recently graduated young people, which has allowed eleven participants to acquire professional experience and training for a year in different departments of the island Institution.
The president of the Cabildo, Casimiro Curbelo, pointed out that "with the end of their contracts, a stage of learning and professional development closes that has made it easier for the beneficiaries to establish a first contact with the labor market, putting into practice the knowledge acquired during their academic training."
This initiative, which has had an investment of 352,000 euros, has been developed in collaboration with the Canarian Employment Service (SCE) and with co-financing from the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+). Through it, young people with degrees in Administration, Business Administration and Management (ADE), Law and Social Work have performed functions linked to their respective professional profiles, complementing their work experience with training actions and tutoring processes.
This action corresponds to the fourth edition of a program aimed at recent graduates, whose objective is to facilitate a first work experience related to their academic training. Throughout its different calls, the initiative has incorporated young people with different professional profiles in work areas of the island Institution.
During the twelve-month duration of the program, the participants have been part of the work teams of the departments to which they were assigned, collaborating in the development of tasks specific to each service and acquiring experience in a professional environment. The monitoring carried out throughout this period has allowed us to accompany their learning process and promote the practical application of the knowledge acquired.
