Interested artisans and food companies may submit their applications until October 13
The Insular Craft Fair will be held on November 6, 7 and 8 in the Plaza de Las Américas, in San Sebastián de La Gomera
The Cabildo of La Gomera has opened the deadline for the submission of applications to participate in a new edition of the Insular Crafts Fair 'Artis Manus', which will be held on November 6, 7 and 8 in the Plaza de Las Américas in San Sebastián de La Gomera.
The island president, Casimiro Curbelo, insisted that, with the annual development of this fair, "the Cabildo of La Gomera continues to promote the promotion and marketing of island craft production, favoring a meeting space between professionals in the sector and citizens, in an event aimed at highlighting the trades, products and techniques linked to the island's crafts."
For her part, the insular Minister of Crafts, Cristina Ventura, reported that the registration period will remain open until October 13, and the fair will have up to 66 stands, of which 52 will be destined for artisans and craftswomen and 14 for food companies. Likewise, as long as there are places available, artisans from other islands may participate.
People who have a valid artisan's card issued by the Cabildo of La Gomera may attend the call, as well as companies that produce artisanal foods that meet the requirements established in the bases, including having a food handler's card and the corresponding registration.
Applications must be submitted to the General Registry of the Cabildo, by any of the means provided for in the administrative procedure legislation or through the Electronic Headquarters of the Institution. In addition, the photographs required in the bases must be sent to the email artesania@lagomera.es. Communications related to the selection process will be published on the Cabildo's institutional website.
In the case of artisans, the documentation includes, among other documents, a copy of the DNI and the valid artisan card, the corresponding application and responsible declaration, as well as five photographs of the pieces that are intended to be exhibited and, if available, two images of the packaging material of one's own design. For food companies, among other documentation, a DNI or CIF, a food handler's card, a valid health registration, registration as a self-employed person and a list of products that will be exhibited are required.
The selection of participants will be carried out in accordance with the criteria established in the rules, which assess aspects such as the quality of the products, the traditional nature of the trades, the incorporation of innovative designs, own packaging material, presence on the website or blog, the status of self-employed in the artisanal sector and, in the case of food, adherence to the Food of La Gomera quality seal. In the event of a tie, the order of entry of the applications will prevail.
