The Cabildo of La Gomera, in collaboration with the Federation of Urban Areas of the Canary Islands (FAUCA), will open next Tuesday, November 3, the application period for establishments interested in participating in the 2026 Christmas Consumption Bonus campaign of “I Buy in La Gomera”. The initiative seeks to promote purchases in local businesses during the Christmas period and promote economic activity in the six municipalities of the island.
Membership will be made through the website www.yocomproenlagomera.com. Businesses that participated in the previous edition will receive an email with information regarding this new call. For their part, companies wishing to join for the first time may request additional information at yocomproenlagomera@fauca.org.
The campaign will make more than 100,000 vouchers available to citizens, with a value of 20 euros each, which can be used as a means of payment at participating establishments. With this new edition, the Cabildo and FAUCA continue an initiative to support the island's business community that encourages consumption in local businesses.
The bonuses will maintain the segmentation by municipalities, with different bonus percentages to favor a balanced distribution of consumption in the island territory. In Alajeró, Agulo, Hermigua and Vallehermoso, the bonus financed by the Cabildo will be 60%, so that each 20 euro voucher can be purchased for 8 euros. In San Sebastián de La Gomera and Valle Gran Rey, the bonus will be 50% and the purchase price will be 10 euros.
