CICAR reinforces its presence in the British market at the World Travel Market in London

CICAR refuerza su presencia en el mercado británico en la World Travel Market de Londres

CICAR participates once again in the World Travel Market (WTM) in London, one of the main professional events in international tourism. The Canarian driverless vehicle rental company attends the fair to present its services in the archipelago and strengthen its relationship with professionals in the sector in the United Kingdom, the main source market for visitors to the Canary Islands.

In 2025, the Canary Islands received 6.31 million tourists from the United Kingdom, 34.3% of the total arrivals to the archipelago, according to FRONTUR (ISTAC). In Lanzarote, the British market contributed around 1.76 million arrivals, just over half of the island's total. These figures explain the importance of the London fair for Canarian tourism services companies such as CICAR.

Meeting point with tour operators

The CICAR stand serves as a meeting point with tour operators, travel agencies and other professionals interested in learning about the company's offering. On the eve of the winter season, the London event allows the company to maintain contact with its collaborators and open new avenues of commercial cooperation.

The commercial director of the company, Ramón Valiente, received the Minister of Tourism of the Government of the Canary Islands, Jéssica de León, who was accompanied by several officials from her department, including José Juan Lorenzo, managing director of Promotur Turismo de Canarias.

CICAR, belonging to the Cabrera Medina Group, is a Canarian family business with a network of offices in airports, ports and main tourist areas of the archipelago. This implementation facilitates the collection and return of vehicles at different points on the islands and allows visitors to explore them at their own pace. In La Gomera it has a presence in the municipalities of San Sebastián, Valle Gran Rey and Alajeró, specifically in the island airport of La Gomera.

The stand displays the logo designed for the company by Lanzarote artist César Manrique, one of the company's hallmarks and an expression of its link with Canarian culture.
