Cabildo and the Chamber of Commerce promote the competitiveness of commerce in La Gomera with training in digital marketing

Cabildo y la Cámara de Comercio impulsan la competitividad del comercio de La Gomera con una formación en marketing digital

– The initiative combines practical sessions and individualized tutoring to help professionals and small businesses improve their Internet presence, attract clients and increase their sales

The Cabildo of La Gomera and the Chamber of Commerce of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, through their Delegation on the island, organize a new training action on digital marketing and Internet sales. The initiative is aimed at self-employed people, entrepreneurs, small businesses and other people interested in acquiring tools to improve their visibility and generate new business opportunities, after the electronic invoicing and taxation training sessions held in San Sebastián and Valle Gran Rey.

The island's Minister of Tourism, Commerce and Consumer Affairs, María Isabel Méndez, highlighted that "we want La Gomera businesses to have practical tools to take advantage of the opportunities offered by digitalization. This training will allow professionals to work on their own businesses and define actions adapted to their needs to reach more customers and improve their sales."

In this sense, Méndez stressed that "personalized support is one of the keys to this initiative, because each business has a different reality. Our objective is that participants can transfer what they have learned to their daily activity, with concrete and acceptable measures that contribute to strengthening the commercial fabric of the island."

The program will have an eminently practical approach and will address local positioning on Google, review management, the commercial use of social networks, content creation with the support of artificial intelligence and customer service through WhatsApp Business. Likewise, strategies will be worked on to convert user interest into inquiries, reservations and sales.

The training will combine face-to-face and online sessions. The face-to-face meetings will take place on November 23 in Valle Gran Rey and on November 24 in San Sebastián de La Gomera, while the online sessions will be held on November 22 and 23. All will take place from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., a time slot chosen to facilitate the attendance of merchants and professionals and make training compatible with the daily activity of their businesses.

The program also includes 60-minute individual online tutorials, aimed at addressing the specific needs of each business. Places for this support are limited and, to access, it will be necessary to attend at least two of the three sessions of the training itinerary, made up of one in-person session and two online.

As a result of the process, each participant will be able to create a digital map of their business, review their value proposition, identify business opportunities and design a 90-day Digital Action Plan, with realistic measures to implement after the training.
