Agulo presents its Christmas program “Agulo de Ensueño 2025”

The Agulo City Council has presented the “Agulo de Ensueño 2025” activities program, a proposal that brings together tradition, music, culture and coexistence spaces to enjoy with the family throughout the month of December and the beginning of January.

The programming will begin on Wednesday, December 3 at the CEIP Áurea Miranda González, where the students will make Christmas cards for the Intergenerational Meeting. On Thursday the 4th, the Plaza de El Mantillo will host the presentation of projects from the Agulo Experimenta citizenship laboratory, promoted by the Government of the Canary Islands.

On Saturday, December 6, one of the central events of the program will take place: the Official Christmas Lighting in Plaza Leoncio Bento. The afternoon will include the theatrical performance “The Meaning of Christmas”, performed by boys and girls from the municipality; the lighting of the Christmas lights; the performance of the group Zaida In Three with their show “Navijazz”; the interpretation of the Villancico de Agulo; and the tour of Los Nostálgicos, which Los Divinos will take through the streets of the town.

On Sunday, December 7, the Benedicto Negrín Auditorium will host the presentation of the book and the exhibition “Comadreo”, followed by the show “Sing to Christmas” by the Alma Directo group in Plaza Leoncio Bento. On Monday, December 8, the cultural activity will continue with the presentation of the novel “The Winter Garden”, the Intergenerational Meeting and the “Calima Rosa” film forum, also in the Auditorium. Both days have the collaboration of the PLUMA Association.

On Sunday the 14th, the Christmas Market will be held in Plaza Leoncio Bento, offering crafts, music and a festive atmosphere. During that same week, the community decoration of trees and spaces will take place in the different neighborhoods of the municipality, in addition to the Christmas workshops in La Palmita, Las Rosas and Agulo Casco.

On Thursday the 18th, Santa Claus will visit the CEIP Áurea Miranda González and the Municipal Children's Center to share excitement with the little ones. On Saturday, December 20, the Hautacuperche Folkloric Group will perform a musical tour of Agulo performing the traditional song of Los Divinos.

The program will end with the Children's New Year's Eve, on Wednesday, December 31, and with the Parade of H.M. the Three Wise Men, which will take place on Monday, January 5 and will tour the neighborhoods of the municipality to end in the town.

During the month, the Agulo City Council will carry out the traditional distribution of Christmas cards made by the CEIP Áurea Miranda González students, to whom it expresses its gratitude for their creativity and dedication in keeping this endearing tradition alive.

The “Agulo de Ensueño 2025” programming is organized by the Agulo City Council and the Association of the Most Beautiful Towns in Spain, with the collaboration of the Island Council of La Gomera; from the Government of the Canary Islands —through the Agulo Experimenta citizenship laboratory, whose presentation will be held on the 4th—; and the PLUMA Association, which participates in the events on the 7th and 8th. Likewise, the Chamber of Commerce of Santa Cruz de Tenerife – La Gomera Delegation collaborates in the organization of the Christmas Market.

The City Council invites residents and visitors to enjoy this complete Christmas proposal designed for all audiences.
