The Alajeró City Council opens the deadline to request aid from the
                  rehabilitation of homes in the municipality
The aid falls under the Program to combat Depopulation in the environment
rural part of the Canary Islands Housing Plan 2020 -2025 in its 2024 call

The Official Gazette of the Province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife number 23 dated Friday, February 21,
2023 publishes the bases for the 'Rehabilitation of privately owned homes within the Program
to combat depopulation in rural areas of the Canary Islands Housing Plan 2020-2025 in its
2024 call.

The mayor of Alajeró, Manuel Ramón Plasencia, recalls that the purpose of this aid is,
adapt the home to elderly or dependent people, promote savings in electricity consumption, adaptation
of structural elements and works necessary for the maintenance of the homes with the intention of
promote the permanence of applicants in rural areas, as established by the program.
The amount of aid granted may be up to 50% of the eligible cost of each
individual action and for a maximum amount per home of 10,000 euros. In the event that the unit
coexistence is made up of a vulnerable group, the maximum percentage of the aid

The interested parties may present the completed application forms together with the
documentation required before the General Registry of the City Council, in the Municipal Office of Playa de
Santiago or through the municipal electronic headquarters https://sedeelectronica.ayuntamientoalajero.es/ or at
the places provided for in the legislation within a period of 30 days from the day following the
publication in the BOP of the bases, that is, as of February 22, 2025. The models of
application and other documents, as well as the bases are available in the offices
municipal offices or at the aforementioned electronic headquarters.
The required documentation includes, in addition to the application, the DNI or NIE of the applicant and all
members of the family unit, documentation proving ownership of the home;
proof of the economic income of each of the members of the economic unit of
coexistence: – Work life of all people over 16 years of age who make up the Unit
economic coexistence, except pensioners. – Pensioners: document accrediting the pension that
receives issued by the competent body. – Employed workers: certificate of salary
company or last salary slip. – Self-employed workers: last quarterly settlement of the I.R.P.F. I
