This new truck has involved an investment of 127,000 euros
This Wednesday, the Vallehermoso City Council received a new waste collection truck that will be incorporated into the collection work in the municipality this week. It is a vehicle intended to expand and modernize the existing fleet and has involved an investment of 127,000 euros by the City Council.
Emiliano Coello, mayor of Vallehermoso, explains that this truck “adds to Gesplan's mandate to expand the waste collection service since it is about improving the attention of this special service provided by the City Council.”
The Councilor for Services, Ramiro Coello, points out that a medium-sized compaction collector truck has been chosen “that can effectively travel along all the roads of the municipality to carry out the service since there are narrow roads that prevent the maneuverability of larger vehicles.”
Along with this, the head of the area explains that the collection of solid waste is a basic element of daily management "and we needed an improvement in the service given that the fleet was becoming obsolete and we have to prioritize this service and not interrupt it due to breakdowns as has happened on some occasions, hence the importance of this new vehicle that we receive today."
The tendered vehicle has been awarded to the Volvo Group Spain company and is a rear-loading collection and compaction truck that improves emissions management in compliance with European regulations and with a loading capacity of eight cubic meters with an articulated press system.
