This financial support is part of the Plan to Fight Poverty launched by the City Council
The Vallehermoso City Council has allocated almost 80,000 euros to emergency aid to serve the most needy families in the municipality. These resources are part of the Plan to Fight Poverty launched by the City Council.
Emiliano Coello, mayor of Vallehermoso, explains that this aid is intended to serve the most vulnerable people and families in the municipality "in difficult times where COVID-19 has caused many neighbors to lose their jobs and precarious their economy to very sensitive limits."
The first mayor recalls that these funds come from a subsidy from the Government of the Canary Islands intended for the Anti-Poverty Plan and that it is the Social Services Department of the City Council that is processing the applications to meet the most urgent needs of these families.
It is worth remembering that the Plan to Fight Poverty developed by the City Council foresees an investment of more than 100,000 euros and, in addition to this aid, includes a program to support the elderly among other actions.
