Photographs, drawings and decoration of facades are part of the planned actions
The Vallehermoso City Council has decided to celebrate Canary Islands Day with a series of actions that seek to involve residents in sharing photographs, developing their more artistic side or decorating the facades. And, despite the situation in which we find ourselves with the State of Alarm in effect, the City Council wants traditions not to be lost and, through contests, social networks or the homes themselves, the municipality continues to be active in terms of participation. That is why they encourage neighbors to join the different scheduled activities.
In this sense, the first action is titled 'Guess Where' and proposes that residents send images of corners of the municipality that must be found out by the City Council's Facebook users under the tags #vallehermosoadivina #memoriaviva. This is intended not only to encourage participation, but also to show different points of view of the municipality, which has unique corners and landscapes that will surely complicate the location of those who participate.
Along with this, the Vallehermoso City Council has proposed holding a children's drawing contest for the youngest members of the municipality, aged between 3 and 11 years. Participating children must send their drawing to the Culture Area email cultura@vallehermosoweb.es in order to share them through social networks. The winner will be announced on May 30, Canary Islands Day.
Finally, neighbors will also be able to participate in the facade decoration contest, in which all types of traditional Canarian elements can be used, with an idea open to the criteria of the contestants for their placement. Photographs of these decorated spaces and balconies will be sent to the City Council's culture email or phone number 659.254.656 to be shared on social networks. The decision of the winner will be adjusted to the photo that obtains the most 'likes' until May 29.
