The Valle Gran Rey City Council organizes an informative talk on the new regulations regarding Holiday Homes, with the aim of bringing the changes it introduces to the public and resolving doubts about its application. The event will be held next Thursday, October 22, at 7:00 p.m., in the assembly hall of the Faride Cruz Niebla Cultural Center.
The day will feature the intervention of Ignacio Díaz de Aguilar, lawyer and legal advisor to FECAM on this matter, and Prashant Khemlani, advisor to the ASG parliamentary group in the Parliament of the Canary Islands. During the meeting, the modifications in terms of vacation housing will be addressed, how they affect interested parties and what procedures they must follow.
The mayor of Valle Gran Rey points out that "from the City Council we want to create a meeting space where attendees can learn about the new regulations and, above all, clarify their doubts. Our objective is for them to have clear and practical information about the steps they should follow depending on their situation."
In this sense, he adds that "we know that regulatory changes raise questions among those who have a vacation home or are considering using a property for this activity. Therefore, we want to facilitate a meeting in which they can raise their questions and find out how these modifications affect them."
For her part, the Councilor for Tourism, Teresa Ortiz, points out that "it is important to stay up to date on the advances and changes in terms of vacation housing, an activity that is part of the tourist offer of Valle Gran Rey. Knowing how its regulation evolves helps us understand the scenario in which the sector develops in our municipality."
Likewise, Ortiz encourages interested people to participate: "We invite citizens to take advantage of this meeting to inform themselves and ask their questions. We want it to be a space for dialogue that allows us to resolve doubts about an issue of interest to our town."
