The president of the Cabildo, Casimiro Curbelo, highlighted the beginning of this training as “one more step in the commitment we maintain with the generation of job opportunities and with training that responds to the real needs of the economic fabric of La Gomera.”

In this sense, he pointed out that the implementation of this initiative "allows more than twenty people who want to join the transport sector to acquire the necessary training without the economic cost being a barrier." Likewise, he insisted that having new qualified professionals "is essential to guarantee the provision of an essential service for the mobility of the population, but also for the functioning of the economic activity and services of the island."

Likewise, Curbelo highlighted the high demand that this training has aroused among people interested in joining the transportation sector professionally. In this sense, he explained that the insular Institution is already working to continue this initiative, with the aim of expanding the opportunities for access to this training and being able to serve the greatest possible number of interested people.

Ventura added that “it is not only about facilitating obtaining an authorization or permit, but about reinforcing the training of those who are going to carry out an activity that requires responsibility, safety and professionalism.”
