– The event will take place at 6:00 p.m. and will bring the public the epidemiologist's first novel, a reflection on the health crisis and its human and social impact.

The Insular Archive will host the presentation of the book Chronicles of the Pandemic, by epidemiologist Amós García Rojas, on November 4, at 6:00 p.m. Published by Punto Rojo, the work addresses through fiction the experiences, dilemmas and emotions that marked the years of the health crisis.

Through an epidemiologist who stars in and connects the different stories, the author explores situations that allow us to approach the pandemic from its health, political, social and personal dimensions. The novel combines experiences and imagination to focus on the work of health professionals and the response of citizens to an exceptional situation.

With this first foray into the novel, García vindicates the value of science, knowledge and collective responsibility. Its pages invite us to remember the suffering experienced, recognize the commitment of those who cared for others and reflect on the lessons left by the pandemic.

Amós García Rojas is a doctor specializing in Preventive Medicine and Public Health. He was president of the Spanish Association of Vaccinology and carried out outstanding outreach work during the health crisis, explaining to the population the evolution of the pandemic and the role of vaccines.
