The presentation of Ariadna Criado García's work will take place on September 21, starting at 7:00 p.m.
The presentation of 'José Hernández Arocha, life of a Tenerife native among the last of the Philippines', initially scheduled for Friday, September 18, is postponed
The General Insular Archive of La Gomera, in San Sebastián, hosts next Monday, September 21, at 7:00 p.m., the presentation of the book 'Columbus, the messenger of God', by Ariadna Criado García.
The work examines the figure of Christopher Columbus from a symbolic and spiritual perspective, delving into the navigator's messianic mentality and his belief that his voyages to the New World responded to the fulfillment of a divine mission.
From this approach, the author delves into some of the questions that have accompanied the figure of the Admiral for centuries. The book is based on the contradictions and mysteries that surround its origins and the different versions that have fueled the debate around its identity, even since its own time.
Through ancient sources, little-known details and questions about some of the most controversial episodes of his career, the publication proposes a journey that questions certain established stories about the character and explores possible clues that link the Admiral of the Ocean Sea with the Vatican.
The presentation will allow you to learn from Ariadna Criado García the keys that support this research and the journey that led her to approach the figure of Columbus from this perspective.
The presentation of the book about José Hernández Arocha postponed
On the other hand, the presentation of 'José Hernández Arocha, life of a Tenerife native among the last in the Philippines', by Miguel Ángel Noriega Agüero and María Candelaria Hernández Arrocha, initially scheduled for Friday, September 18, is postponed for reasons beyond the control of the organization. The new date for this activity will be communicated soon through the usual channels.
